Pimples are particularly common in people with oily skin. Oily skin is caused by increased production of sebum in the sebaceous glands. This overproduction may be due to hormones, metabolism or hygiene. If you are prone to oily skin, careful care is especially important to prevent pimples.

For oily skin, be sure to choose a non-greasy moisturizer. Ideally, the cream should also be disinfected to prevent possible inflammation. Also for facial cleansing you should use products that have been specially developed for oily skin.

But even those who have no oily skin, should cleanse his face regularly to prevent the formation of pimples. It is recommended to clean the face twice daily with a mild wash gel. Even regular hair washing can help to prevent pimples.

Pimple and diet

In general, a healthy diet is also good for the skin. It is not true that eating chocolate or chips sprouts pimples. If you eat a healthy diet, drink enough water and eat lots of fruit and vegetables, you may even have a snack. The omission of sugary foods, fatty foods and dairy products should have a particularly positive effect on the appearance of the skin.

Alcohol and, above all, cigarettes are particularly damaging to the skin: One study found that the risk of blemished skin increases significantly with each cigarette smoked. For example, smokers who smoke between 10 and 20 cigarettes a day have about twice as high an acne risk as non-smokers.
