Recipe for tart with leek and carrots

Proceed as follows to prepare this recipe: For the dough, knead all the ingredients together, wrap in cling film and allow to rest for 30 to 40 minutes in the refrigerator. Clean the carrots, peel and slice into thin slices. Clean the leek and cut into thin rings. Place the carrots in a perforated cooking tray and blanch at 100 degrees for four minutes. After three minutes, stop the cooking process and place the leek rings in their own perforated cooking tray in the appliance. Cook both vegetables for another minute.

Leek Recipe: Preparation

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 200 g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g of cold butter

Ingredients for the topping:

  • 400 g of carrots
  • 250 g of leek200g cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 100 g diced bacon
  • 3 medium sized eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of pine nuts
  • a little butter
  • Parsley for decoration

If no steamer is available boil salted water in two pots. The carrots for four minutes, cook the leek rings in it for a minute. After cooking or cooking, chill both vegetables under cold water and drain well. Put the diced bacon in a pan with a little butter and sauté. Grease the springform pan, roll out the dough, place in the shape and form a high edge. Season carrots, leeks and bacon with salt and pepper and spread on the pastry.

Whisk the cream and eggs and pour over the filling. Finally, sprinkle with pine nuts. Place the tart in the preheated oven at 200 degrees and bake at top / bottom heat for about 35 minutes. Sprinkle parsley on the tart before serving. The tart can be served warm or cold. If you prefer a vegetarian option, use 100 g more carrots instead of the bacon.
