Exfoliation by microdermabrasion

Every day our skin is stressed. Wind and weather, intense UV radiation and, not least, frequent contact with water and washing substances or cosmetics can damage the skin and the natural skin barrier. With the microdermabrasion, a mechanical peeling method, the skin structure can be improved. Especially for stressed skin, acne or scars, a treatment with the method of microdermabrasion can gently and selectively lead to a fresh and clear complexion.

Microdermabrasion - what is it?

Currently, the phenomenon of microdermabrasion can be heard and read in cosmetics and dermatology more and more often. But what exactly is behind it? Microdermabrasion is composed of micro - small, derma - skin and brasion - grind together. Basically, the term hides behind the term small skin abrasion. With the help of microdermabrasion, the uppermost cell layers of the skin are mechanically removed by fine crystals. This is to be introduced after the sandblasting principle. Dead skin cells can be removed completely painless. At the same time the lymph flow is activated.

In microdermabrasion, the skin to be treated is first of all analyzed. In the process, questions about the sensitivity and structure of the skin are clarified. Thereafter, the skin is gently cleansed for preparation. In the next step, the skin is thoroughly cleaned again with special products, the skin surface is degreased. Now the microdermabrasion is done. It is followed by a post-cleaning, then toiletries and special cosmetics can be applied to the skin.

Microdermabrasion can help rejuvenate the cells of our skin. Likewise, the microcirculation of the cells can be increased, which ultimately also the restoration of an intact horny layer is promoted. When applied with microdermabrasion, the active ingredients applied to the skin can be much more intense, therefore cell formation can be normalized and, in total, the whole cell matrix can benefit from this kind of exfoliation. Since the formation of elastane can be stimulated, our skin looks taut and fresh. The best part: the result is directly visible.

Gentle and controllable removal of the skin

In contrast to many other methods of skin abrasion, the removal of the skin by means of microdermabrasion is regulated and therefore controllable. Thus, skin layers are not simply removed, but the amount of ablation is regulated by the number of treatments and the intensity of ablation. No further hornification is caused, on the contrary. The sebum production of the skin can return to normal, so that even impure and oily skin can be permanently improved.

Especially people who have been suffering from acne or acne scars for many years benefit from microdermabrasion. This method is also suitable for dry skin, for stretch marks and cellulitis, for large-pored skin and scars. Microdermabrasion is also popular for use in anti-aging treatments. Incidentally, a microdermabrasion treatment can not only be done on the face, but on the entire body. Depending on the skin type and appearance, ultrasound treatment is recommended after microdermabrasion.

Microdermabrasion should be repeated periodically to achieve effective and, above all, permanent results. Depending on the skin, microdermabrasion is performed either once a week and then every two weeks or as a course of treatment several times a week.

Very important after that is also the care at home. It is by no means to use fat products for care, as these cosmetics would promote the cornification of the skin. Instead, products that moisturise are recommended. In addition, after treatment with microdermabrasion, the skin should be protected from intense sunlight.
