Viagra has been approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in Germany since 1998. The active ingredient sildenafil is a prescription and must be prescribed by the doctor.

Viagra is not an aphrodisiac!

It is taken about an hour before planned sexual activity and restores normal responsiveness to sexual stimulation. Viagra works in the area of ​​the penis, the sexual experience or libido are not affected.

side effects

Adverse effects were usually mild, predominantly temporary headache, redness of the face, stomach discomfort, nasal congestion, or mild reversible visual disturbances (usually color cast or photosensitivity).

Danger:

In particular, it must be pointed out that Viagra must not be taken together with nitrates and NO donors (vasodilator drugs such as molsidomine, nitroprusside sodium "poppers").

Patients suffering from cardiovascular disease must consult with the attending physician before using Viagra.

In principle, before any treatment for erectile dysfunction, it should be considered that sexual activity is associated with a natural cardiovascular burden. However, the effort during sexual intercourse is subject to large individual fluctuations.
