You can calculate how your fat distribution is by using our waist / hip circumference quotient.
What's the Waist-to-Hip Ratio?
The waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), or waist-to-hip ratio (THV), describes the relationship between a person's waist and hip circumference. In overweight it is used to calculate the pattern of fat distribution.
It's that easy
- While standing, stretch your arms to the side and use a tape measure to measure the waist circumference at about the level of the belly button. Measure without clothing and do not hold the air during the measurement.
- Then measure your hip circumference at the widest point (also without clothing).
- Enter the measured values in the corresponding fields (in cm) and click the button to calculate your T / H quotient.
- The table shows whether you are underweight, normal or overweight.
|normal weight||below 0.8||below 0.9|
|overweight||0.8 - 0.84||0.9 - 0.99|
|obesity||from 0.85||from 1.0|
